Live real-time player auction
The host creates an auction by selecting a tournament, setting a budget per team, and defining the maximum squad size.
All participants join the auction using an invite link or code shared by the host.
Each participant owns one team. The host may also own a team.
Players are drawn from the tournament player pool. The host can exclude specific players before the auction starts.
Each participant can use Auction Preparation to star (highlight) players they want to target. This is visible only to them.
The auction cannot begin until at least two teams have joined.
Only the host can start the auction. All participants see a live lobby while waiting.
Players are presented one at a time in a randomised order. The current player is shown on the player banner with their team, role/position, nationality, and fantasy history.
The base price for every player in the initial auction is determined by the tournament. Re-auctioned players start at a reduced base price.
Bidding is verbal. Participants shout/call their bids out loud, and the host tracks the highest bidder and resolves the outcome.
The host finalises each player by:
- Selecting the winning team
- Entering the final sale price
- Clicking 'Assign' to confirm
If no team bids on a player, the host clicks 'Unsold'. Unsold players are collected and offered as a group in the re-auction phase at the end.
A team cannot exceed its maximum squad size. Once full, it is locked from receiving further players.
A team cannot bid above its remaining budget. The host can see each team's remaining budget during the auction.
The host can undo the last player assignment if a mistake was made. This removes the player from the team and returns the budget.
The 'Last 4 Sold' panel updates in real-time showing the most recently sold players, which team bought them, and the price paid.
Once all players have been presented, unsold players are pooled for re-auction.
Re-auction base price is set at a reduced level for every player.
Team owners can nominate specific unsold players they want to bid on. Only nominated players enter the re-auction queue.
Re-auction follows the same verbal bidding format as the main auction.
Players who remain unsold after re-auction are not assigned to any team.
After the auction ends, each team owner selects one Captain (C) and one Vice-Captain (VC) from their squad.
Captain scores 2× their actual fantasy points for every match.
Vice-Captain scores 1.5× their actual fantasy points for every match.
Captain and VC selections only apply to starting XI players. Substitutes receive no multiplier.
Each owner has a time window to make their selection. The host can force-complete the selection phase if needed.
Captain and VC can be changed at any time through the Results page before points are locked.
The completed auction appears in the 'Completed Leagues' section on the tournament dashboard.
Fantasy points accumulate automatically as real matches are played during the tournament.
The leaderboard ranks teams by total effective points (starters only, with C/VC multipliers applied).
If a starting XI size is configured, only the top N players by points count towards the team's total. The rest are substitutes and score 0 effective points.
Squads and full match-by-match breakdowns are visible to all participants.
